Takes a very very long time to render this with the transparent dude in front, but it’s better than him completely obscuring the action I guess…

again this is a wip so there’s some jerkyness and low res that I’ll be fixing in the final version…

Gonna be posting some rough works in progress… just to show I’m alive
sorry for the low quality, but it’s really mostly a test render
I’ve found a service that makes 3d prints of 3d models you upload. This means I could make figures of all my 3d models, in any pose I choose. They even have a store system like cafepress so I could put a markup on them and sell them
This sounds awesome but I need to experiment, convert files, export them then pay for the test models and see what kind of quality comes out at the other end, and I’m a bit broke at the moment.
SO I’m looking for someone willing to buy a test model print. You tell me which model you want a figurine made of, what pose you want, and I’ll upload it and you can buy it without any markup (i.e. no profit for me)
The pros: A custom figurine of your choice, possibly a one off object
cons: I’m doing this to test the quality so it may look like ass, also I’d need you to provide pictures and feedback
This one has some cuts using fade outs… also testing different flv encoding with the VLC player, higher bitrate so it won’t look blocky
I know, I know, I imagine people are more interested in uncensoring and not the opposite, but since I had to figure it out for submitting content to Japan, I thought it would make for an interesting quick post.
At first I tried to open the files in a paint program with animation support and just edit the images individually, but this quickly became unreasonable, so I hit on another method
First I take the animation and resize it to postage stamp size
This is the source of the mosaic, this way it will move the same as the full animation
Then I take the uncensored animation and place the low res version as a layer behind it, and create a simple flat shape that serves as a “projection target” meaning it shows the hidden layer on top. I animate this shape to follow the animation in order to cover the area that needs censoring
Then ta-da, render time and we have the good old mosaic censoring we know and love
