Thinking on how the points thing is going to work, I’ve been testing a points plugin in association with an openID plugin, so people would have their accounts with their point totals, but it’s all needlessly complicated. It’s far simpler if points are simply used when you get them and then associated with the sponsored animation or character
So I am not going to keep track of how many points you have, they’re intended to be used as soon as you get them. You see a post showing a picture of Rukia and Chappy riding Ichigo and you go “Fund it!” and I make the animation, or add the points to the tally to make the animation or model the character so everyone can see there’s for example 80 points pledged to make a model of Yoruichi or whatever.
Right now there’s not enough available offers so I’m not going to expire anyone’s points but in the future if you just signup and don’t make any use I’ll just assume it’s a generic “keep on with the good work”
Otherwise I’ll need to start running spreadsheets with people’s point tallies and crap like that… 🙂
OH wait, we’re meant to use them ASAP? I was kinda assuming we could hold on to them for special occasions! This makes me a bit more comfortable with blowing the wad (… FIGURATIVELY.) on a single project then.
Well not necessarily ASAP but “soonish”. I think it’s the way that makes more sense from a record keeping point of view.
